[01:25]<PCdoc> omg, i went to that client who had to go for shopping .. yesterday .. she was like, "can u please close those gaps below the dvd drive at the front of the cabinet, it was not like that before"
[01:26]<PCdoc> "madam, it cant be move and it doesnt really matter that much, and the internal design is such that it cant be moved but is locked
[01:26]<PCdoc> "no but it was not like that before, can u please move them so that gaps are closed??"
[01:26]<PCdoc> grrrrr
[01:26]<@BC_Programming> gaps?
[01:26]<PCdoc> those dummy plastics
[01:26]<@BC_Programming> oh the faceplate things?
[01:26]<PCdoc> which u remove so that u can insert another cd drive
[01:26]<PCdoc> yeah
[01:27]<@BC_Programming> heh "it was not like that before" before what I wonder
[01:27]<PCdoc> and the HP cabinets were like it was locked from inside and exactly fits there
[01:27]<PCdoc> before i installed a 1TB hdd into her comp
[01:29]<PCdoc> she talked in sarcastical politeness
[01:30]<PCdoc> lol nathan is online since morning on the forum .. this is like such a long time i seen him
[01:30]<@BC_Programming> forum was down for maintenance a hour or so ago

[07:12]<@jacky> camerongray: Hello
[07:24]<jamer> hm ... stupid fog ...
[07:27]<+camerongray> Foggy here too
[07:27]<+camerongray> Then again, that's pretty normal :P
[07:28]<@BC_Programming> yeah just tell us when it's not foggy
[07:28]<+camerongray> lol!
[07:28]<+camerongray> It wasn't yester.. oh yeah it was
[07:28]<jamer> XD
[09:14]<PCdoc> how rude ...
[09:15]<PCdoc> camerongray: ok and he didnt say why was he kicked?
[09:17]<+camerongray> True
[09:18]<+camerongray> Well, he did ignore LC telling him to stop
[09:19]<PCdoc> but lc did not say what to stop?? and why ?
[09:20]<PCdoc> the guest should know the real reason why to stop so that he can. assuming that the guest would know is stupid
[09:30]<jamer> O.o i got the mirrors edge bonus cd
[09:52]<PCdoc> camerongray: remember LC suggested that slimdriver software to me when that drama happened before banning me ??
[09:53]<+camerongray> Yes
[09:53]<PCdoc> I tried on that acer machine, that day it worked. But on my computer when I tried it gives wrong driver updates
[09:53]<@BC_Programming> he flip-flops like a fish
[09:53]<@BC_Programming> all Driver Update software is garbage anyway
[09:53]<PCdoc> like it says to download Belkin network driver .. i dont even have a belkin hardware
[09:54]<@BC_Programming> and don't forget to register it!
[09:54]<@BC_Programming> only 49.99!
[09:54]<PCdoc> and one update was like it kept on downloading until no end. the driver on intel website was like 4MB
[09:54]<PCdoc> it passed more than 30MB and then i stopped. thinking god knows whats it downloading
[09:55]<PCdoc> wow! i thought it was free
[09:55]<PCdoc> :(
[09:55]<@BC_Programming> I don't know
[09:55]<@BC_Programming> most software like that is sketchy and quick to tell you about their "professional" version
[09:56]<@BC_Programming> Even Ccleaner come to think of it
[09:56]<@BC_Programming> I mean really... what features could "CCleaner Pro" Possibly have that actually qualify it as a Professional tool
[09:56]<PCdoc> hmm Point !!
[09:57]<PCdoc> I have that Zonealarm free firewall at home. Since last year it has started to pop ups ads when I start my comp. ads from checkpoint
[09:58]<PCdoc> before last yr it was good .. but they have not made that app a very heavy one
[09:58]<@BC_Programming> I don't use any AV or firewall software
[09:58]<@BC_Programming> Firewall is pointless because I'm always behind a NAT anyway
[09:58]<PCdoc> BC_Programming: mac / linux ?
[09:58]<@BC_Programming> No Windows 7
[09:58]<@BC_Programming> (and Win 8.1 on my laptop)
[09:59]<@BC_Programming> I'm not sure if I have time for this lol... but why?
[09:59]<jamer> ive got a firewall on my laptop for when im out but im like bc and have a nat on my home network
[09:59]<PCdoc> its difficult to trouble shoot
[10:00]<@BC_Programming> My only issue with it is I couldn't figure out how to setup my work VPN
[10:00]<@BC_Programming> it want's a "provider" I don't know wtf that means
[10:01]<jamer> XD
[10:02]<PCdoc> I have an AMC (Annual Maintanance Contract) with a company where we have agreed with unlimited call visits for certain bucks. They recently purchased windows 8 HP laptops from outside without taking any advice from me. I learnt from HP website and there customer care that they have stopped supporting windows 7 and earlier versions of windows i.e drivers wont be available
[10:03]<PCdoc> and the company uses an old lcoal software to make some calculations for sugar plant etc .. i hardly know what that software does, but it runs on 32bit win 7 and not even 64bit or win8 .. nooo
[10:03]<PCdoc> and there laptops dont take win7, coz no drivers are available.
[10:05]<@BC_Programming> Sounds like the software they run is 16-bit or very old, at least, if it doesn't run on 64-bit Windows at all
[10:05]<PCdoc> they are like computer novoice and i had a hard time and still I do explaining why doesnt there software run on win 8 and why cant they have win7 on there laptops
[10:06]<@BC_Programming> If the software is important to their Day to Day it should have been factored into the new hardware purchase
[10:06]<PCdoc> thats the problem, they did not contact me for advice. I dont complain they did not buy from me, but I have the AMC, I would have adviced them better ..
[10:07]<PCdoc> i still dont understand why would HP do that in the first place?
[10:08]<PCdoc> when all its compititors are allowing windows 7. Even the customer care people say if we find any problem with software, we might have to upgrade to windows 8 and we dont guarentee or take responsibility of your data in such case
[10:08]<PCdoc> i mean wtf ?
[10:08]<PCdoc> its my laptop, i wanna install windows 7. whose HP to stop me ??
[10:09]<@BC_Programming> They don't stop you
[10:09]<PCdoc> they stop me by not providing drivers
[10:09]<@BC_Programming> it's just not supported, and they didn't invest the time and resources to develop and test Driver software with Windows 7
[10:11]<PCdoc> and on windows 8 laptops they have stopped providing the genuine windows 8 key, no sticker and its not written in any of the docs that come with the laptop
[10:12]<PCdoc> by chance if it happens that u loose ur windows before u wanted to create recovery discs... i would really want to know how will I be able to get the product key?
[10:12]<PCdoc> some forums say its in the BIOS, but I didnt find any
[10:12]<@BC_Programming> there is no product key,, no need for a COA in the machine because it is embedded in the BIOS via SLIC.
[10:13]<@BC_Programming> The product key is NOT visible in any way, you do not enter it. Win8 should recognize the SLIC table and find the embedded OEM key
[10:13]<PCdoc> u mean when I will install windows, it wont ask for product key?
[10:13]<PCdoc> oh
[10:14]<PCdoc> they have two same config and same model laptop. I created recovery disc from one laptop but forgot to take on other. Obviously, the recovery disc os first laptop will have keys from the laptop of which disc weree created?
[10:15]<@BC_Programming> Discs don't have keys
[10:16]<PCdoc> I dont I made mistake or not but I used the recovery disc of first laptop on second one. When I try to create recovery disc on second laptop, it says already created
[10:16]<PCdoc> I dont know *
[10:20]<PCdoc> gotta go home .. cya after few hrs ..
